  • Take a quiz, protect a forest, get free tea

Celebrate National Hot Tea Month, save a forest, get free tea from Celestial Seasonings

Celestial Seasonings celebrated its fortieth anniversary in 2009.  In those forty years they have continued to use socially and environmentally conscious business practices. They have minimized their packaging and have created a sustainable source of income for the indigenous people of the areas they purchase their ingredients from.

Now Celestial Seasonings is giving people a chance to participate in protecting Earth's tropical forests.  To find out more about it, click on the link above and read the story.  Follow the links and take the quiz.  For each person who takes the quiz, Celestical Seasonings will donate $1.00 to protect tropical forests. The first 15,000 people who complete the quiz will receive a box of Celestial Seasonings Authentic Green Tea.

  • Roast Porkloin Recipe-Yum

Mango Tangy Rubbed & Glazed Pork Tenderloin-a Tea Spot Chef recipe

Doesn't this look beautiful. Well, I guess not if you're vegan or vegetarian.  Karen Harbour, The Tea Spot Chef, sends me a recipe that uses tea once a week and I publish it some time on Wednesday.

I'm hoping this relationship with help both of us out. If not, at least I'll have a great collection of recipes from the deal.

All the recipes labeled "Tea Spot Chef" belong to Karen Harbour and are published on my site with her permission.
  • Teekanne Wants to Giver you Free Tea

Teekanne Teas offers free samples of herbal wellness teas

I continue to receive updates from Teekanne.  They're primarily an herbal tea company in the USA, although they do sell regular teas in Europe, Canada, and Australia.  I don't know why they don't sell true teas in the USA.

As far as herbal teas go, they aren't bad. I just wish they had more true teas.  Their Passionfruit Mango Energizing wellness tea has some green tea in it, but not much. It mostly tasted like mango.

When I want to drink tea, I drink real tea, but I do drink herbal teas now and then because I enjoy their flavors also and some of them are very good for you.  Valerian root and chamomile help you sleep, lavender helps you relax, etc.  There's really nothing wrong with herbal teas other than the fact that I prefer to drink true teas.

The Biggest Tea Prize Package Ever!

Win $825 worth of tea and tea ware from Steepster, but you have to enter NOW

This teakettle isn't one of the prizes.  I just couldn't get permission from the designer of the prize teapot to use a photo of his product before I had to publish the article.

Steepster is offering the best tea holiday prize package ever.  Every tea lover is going to want this prize.  Whether you like your tea green, black, white, or oolong, this package has everything.  Not only does it include the sleek modern Sorapot teapot by Joey Roth, but it also the Utili-TEA Variable-temp teakettle that lets you set it to the right temperature for the tea you're brewing.  I would personally love to have one of these. I'm always forgetting to stop heating the water for green or white tea before it boils.  Then I have to sit and wait for it to get to the right temperature. I never know if I've waited long enough to too long.  I suppose I could buy an instant read thermometer, but it wouldn't be as much fun as a cool gadget.

The Sorapot has to be seen to be believed.  I couldn't figure out the picture at first.  The tea steeps in a long glass tube and you can see all the leaves unfurling.  I love that.  It's known as the agony of the leaves, but  I think it looks like tea water ballet.

Hope all you tea lvoers out there take a shot at this prize. It's worth the few minutes it takes to enter the contest.
